This corporate animation was commissioned by The Smart Train during the Covid 19 pandemic to share their 5 tips for coping with work. The digital illustrations were inspired by the visual identity developed by Hybrid creative when working on their book The Smarts. All frames and sequences were illustrated by Karen Lilje and the animation was then done in Adobe AE by Hein Shultz.
These simple digital illustrations were created to accompany strong messaging against violence and criminal activity for UNICEF Somalia. The illustrations were used in printed and digital communication.
This fun animation was created for MbongiWorks, a Johannesburg based branding company. The animation was first mapped out on paper, sketched up frame by frame and then digitally illustrated in Illustrator. The final animation was composed in Photoshop to create a gif that could be shared on various platforms.
The fire concept for the animation came from the name of the company, which means storytelling. In Africa the best stories are shared around a campfire and the best ideas often start as a sketch on the back of a matchbook.
